Read it, or write it. On screen the story is all there, words and all. Print it and the speech bubbles come out empty — the pictures still tell you who is frightened, who is kind and what went wrong, and your child decides what everybody actually said.
Read one in colour on a phone, or print the black-and-white version and let them write in the bubbles and colour it in. Same story either way.
